Dear all,
I am writing this to inform you that I, Liza Cox, with effect from 11th June 2009, passed the premises known as Spring Cottage, Selston Road, Jacksdale, Nottinghamshire, NG16 5HL including the kennels and cattery business on land at that address to new owners.
It is with much regret that I had decided to sell and move on to other challenges. This was a decision that my family and I agonised over for a long period of time. The only other alternative was to close the business down with loss of local employment. I could not do this given the hard work and commitment that my staff have displayed in my time at the kennels.
I would have preferred to have told you all individually before I left but, due to various reasons, this was not possible. I hope that your pets, whom I have come to cherish, continue to receive the same high level of animal care that I always aspired to. In my time running Heavenlyz Animal Hotel my staff and I endeavoured to provide the highest quality of animal care whilst delivering value for money to our customers. In 1998, when we bought the premises, the kennels and cattery was in an appalling state. We immediately invested heavily to ensure that the animal care standard was acceptable. Since then, we have repeatedly and significantly reinvested money from profits in order to improve the standard of animal care provided, ultimately exceeding the license requirements by a significant margin. We had many tributes by customers, suppliers and independent animal care industry experts, who had visited animal boarding establishments across the land. Without exception, we were congratulated as being one of the best private boarding establishments that they had visited. I will always remain extremely proud that we set the animal care standard as our first priority, above all other considerations, including profit, throughout our time on the premises.
All staff played their part in the making of Heavenlyz, some worked with us all the way through, others stayed for a shorter time. For all their hard work in helping me to achieve such a high standard of animal care I would like to thank my staff. I would like to specifically single out the following people, publicly declaring my sincere thanks for all the help good work they did and most especially the exceptional care shown to the guests that we looked after: Emma Lane; Diane Howard; Alison Bentley; Andrew Sutton; Nina Johnson; Kerry Zupa, Felicity Pickup, Adam Monaghan…thankyou.
In this time, I have had the privilege of meeting and serving over 20,000 dog, cat and other animal owners and their furry friends. For making my 11 years so enjoyable and successful, I would also like to thank all previous and current customers, suppliers, friends and guests of the business formerly known as Heavenlyz Animal Hotel of Selston Road, Jacksdale, Nottinghamshire, NG16 5HL.
This sale was not prompted because of any failing in the business. The business on that premises, known formerly as “Heavenlyz”, remained unaffected by the current global financial problems, was still operating successfully at the point of sale and has been renamed by the new owners.
I intend to continue to act for national animal care charities, play an active role in the monitoring of national animal care standards as well as provide a high quality animal grooming service.
I wish the new owners the best of luck, hope that they continue to operate what was up to June 2009 a very successful business and, most importantly, sincerely hope that they continue to provide the highest levels of animal care to their guests.
If you wish to contact me, please email in the first instance to liza@heavenlyz.com. Thankyou for taking the time to read this.
Best regards,
Liza Cox, trading as Heavenlyz
